Burt's Bees Lip Balms

Hi! This is a review on the Burt's Bees beeswax lip balms.

I've been weirdly obsessed with these lately and I thought I should talk about them with you. :)

From left to right, I have the original peppermint, honey, pink grapefruit, pomegranate, and acai berry.

I love all of these and how they work for my chapped lips but the only things that bother me are the smell.

I'm perfectly okay with the original peppermint one, in fact I love the smell of the peppermint and how it feels on my lips. The honey one is not so good. It smells like strong baby powder and sweaty feet with a hint of honey. It works well, but it's just the smell. (hey that rhymed lol)
The next one is the pink grapfruit flavor. I actually like this one a lot. It's my second favorite next to the peppermint. It smells and tastes like legit pink grapfruit and I love it. The pomegranate one is the only one that is colored and gives color to your lips. I don't hate the smell, but I don't love it. It smells like pomegranate medicine. The last one I have is the acai berry. I can barely stand this one. It does smell like acai berry, but it is way too sweet for me. Sometimes, it even smells like bubblegum. I don't know, it's just really strong in my opinion but it works just as fine as the others.

Well, that's the end of my review and hopefully you found this informative in a way. Bye! :)

Drugstore Haul #1

Hello! I'm here today to show you what I got from the drugstore. I pretty much get most of my makeup from the drugstore and the only time I ever lean towards high end products is when I really cannot find a dupe of it at the drugstore.

So it's finally summer and I'm all about lightweight/natural makeup. I'm also into makeup that is waterproof and will last long on my face.

The first thing I picked up was the Revlon Photoready BB cream in Medium. This isn't my first time using this product. I really like this BB cream, and I think it's the best I've used from the drugstore EVER. That's a pretty large statement, but I mean it!

It has SPF 30 which is perfect for the summertime, and feels very lightweight on the skin. It provides great coverage for me, and will pretty much stay all day if you set it with a powder. Even if you don't set it with a powder, it will still look very nice and natural on your face and it will still last a decent amount of time. I say maybe about 8-10 hours? Depends on how often you touch your face. If you like Smashbox's BB creams, which is a high end brand and quite pricey product, then you'll like this. I consider the Revlon Photoready BB creams a pretty good dupe for Smashbox, just saying. :)

By the way, my skin type is combination average to oily. It doesn't get over the top oily, though. My face just ends up looking more "shiny" I guess. It's not really bad.

The next thing I picked up were some more Revlon Lip Butters! I know, I'm obsessed.

I bought 050 Berry Smoothie and 015 Tutti Frutti. That name still makes me laugh lol. You've probably heard a lot about these already so I'm not going to go to into it. I chose these two colors because they are just so gorgeous! Especially Tutti Frutti, this one will be used A LOT during the summer.

Swatches L-R: Berry Smoothie, Tutti Frutti, Sweet Tart, Strawberry Shortcake

Okay, so I swatched the ones I got today and also the two other ones I already had just to show you all. As you can see, these are all quite sheer yet the color is really pretty and vibrant when you get the right amount. I know I'm not the first to say this but they are so creamy and feel so smooth on the lips! Not sticky at all so I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!

Next, I bought these Rimmel ScandalEyes waterproof cream stick eyeshadows. I got the shades 001 Witness White, 002 Bulletproof Beige, and 003 Bad Girl Bronze. All three have a shimmer to them, which I love.

These are so pigmented and creamy and they all do last a long time! Very waterproof indeed. I don't have much to say about because they are just that amazing. Easy to apply, higly pigmented, creamy, and long lasting. These are literally perfect for summer. If you don't already own these, go to your nearest drugstore right now and get them! :)

I also got these Rimmel ScandalEyes waterproof soft kohl eye pencils. I picked up the colors 003 Brown and 005 Nude. Just like the cream eyeshadow, these are very smooth when they apply and I love them just as much. They are waterproof, and do not smudge easily.

Another thing I decided to get was the Rimmel Stay Matter pressed powder in 020 Nude Beige. I have owned this product before, and it is my favorite pressed powder ever. It does not make me look cakey and it looks natural, giving your face a nice matte finsih that doesn't look overdone or fake. I love it. I also have the shade called Sandstorm which I use in the winter when I'm not so dark. Hahaha ^_^"

Lastly, I picked up another ecotools brush. It's the flat eyeliner brush.

I am a big fan of Ecotools brushes because they are so soft and lightweight and adorable! I like how it is earth friendly and made out of bamboo and recycled materials. I just love these brushes so much. They are my favorite brand for brushes next to Sigma and Mac. These brushes are sturdy yet lightweight, and pretty awesome quality for something that isn't exactly considered high end. I recommend them!

Well that concludes my first drugstore haul. Thank you for reading, and I will be posting more! Bye

DIY Lush Sugar Lip Scrub ♡

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to tell you how to make your very own Lush sugar lip scrub. If you are familiar with the brand Lush Cosmetics, you may know how pricey their products can be. For example, a small container of their Popcorn flavored lip scrub is $9!

(This was not my picture, I got it off of google images.)
But seriously?! It lasts a long time, yes, but why even spend the money when you can make it yourself? Plus, the ingredients needed are probably sitting in your kitchen right at this very moment.
Anyways, enough with the ranting let's get down to business!

What you need:
- 2 tablespoons of white sugar
- 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 squirts of honey
- 1 teaspoon of extra virgin organic olive oil

After you add everything, just mix and mix and it will turn out into a honey flavored lip scrub! The olive oil is what helps moisturize your lips, and if you don't have olive oil, you can just use jojoba oil or melt a stick of burt's bees lip balm. You can also add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt if you like Lush's popcorn lip scrub. It will give it a sweet and salty taste! Yummy! :)

Thank you for reading today, and I hope this post inspires you to make some of your very own lip scrub today! Bye :)

Favorite Drugstore Eyeliner Pencil

Hi! I'm here right now to tell you all about my favorite drugstore eyeliner pencil.

Sometimes it's hard to find a good eyeliner from the drugstore that is pigmented, creamy and lasts long all at the same time. It took a while to find, but I think I've finally found the best one there is!

L-R: Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Black, L'oreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner in Ebony, Milani Liquid Eye Eyeliner in 01 Black

Okay, so first of all I'm going to describe the texture of each eyeliner. Revlon is a very true black, but it feels waxy when applied. It tends to latch onto my skin and it isn't as smooth as the others. Despite the waxy texture, this eyeliner stays on quite well, it will not smudge easily. I would recommend this eyeliner if you like smoky looks. This would work well for a smoky bottom eyeliner.

Next, L'oreal is very creamy and smooth when applied but it smudges more easily. It isn't as black as Revlon, and it appears a bit more grey. I would recommend this of you like applying eyeliner to the waterline. It works really well because like I said, it's smooth and applies easily.

Last but definitely not least, is Milani. It is my favorite one out of the three, and probably the best eyeliner I've ever used. It's like a combination of the Revlon and L'oreal. Smooth and creamy when you apply it, yet lasts for a long time. I use it all the time and it's good for the waterline and the bottom or top lashline. And even better, it feels like a liquid eyeliner when you apply it. It's seriously that smooth!

Here is a swatch of the three eyeliners after I ran my finger over it once:

As you can see, L'oreal almost completely smudged off. Revlon and Milani stayed put.

All three eyeliner are very good and have their own special uses, but if you want an all around eyeliner that you can grab and use whenever and however you'd like, I definitely recommend Milani!

Covergirl Outlast Lipstain

Hi! I recently purchased a few of the Covergirl Outlast Lipstains.

They're good but honestly, I'm not a big fan of them. The color is actually way more bright on the lips than what it appears on the packaging. They're pigmented, so that's a good thing. But it would've been nice if the color actually matched.

These are the swatches.
L-R: 440, 435, 415

As you can see, the colors are pretty solid and pigmented and this is only after a couple of swipes on my hand.
440, the bright berry color, kind of seeped into my skin more than the other two. The thing about these lipstains is that they appear a bit blotchy when you first apply them onto your lips, but after a couple of layers, they even out. The overall staying power of these lipstains isn't very good. They smudge easily and are somewhat drying to your lips so I suggest wearing a lip moisturizer on top. After a while, the lipstain starts to form a line around the lips, making it appear as if you are wearing a thick unnatural lip liner.

Once again, they're not the worst lip product I've ever used, but I wouldn't repurchase. Thanks for reading! :)
